key highlights

FUND AND SUPPORT

  • In 2024-25, your support has helped us and our 12 grassroots partners to make a real and tangible impact around the world.
  • We invested in counselling and therapeutic support, emergency assistance following sexual violence, education and development to access employment, training of community-based women advocates, and so much more.
  • We provided unrestricted and flexible funding that enabled some of our partners to adapt to the evolving needs of the women and girls they support and respond to a time of immediate crisis caused by conflict.

ADVOCATE AND AMPLIFY

  • We championed feminist justice on the global stage – advocating for garment workers’ rights, pushing for UK legislation against supply chain abuses, and contributing to efforts to recognise gender apartheid as an international crime.
  • We stood in solidarity with women in crisis – amplifying frontline voices from Sudan to the DRC, challenging UK aid cuts, and driving campaigns like #MakeAStandfor1in3 to spotlight and end violence against women and girls.
  • The Circle delivered a rallying call for global feminists and allies to join us in solidarity and action at the Royal Albert Hall for SISTERS. The event raised £221,259 and sparked national momentum with over 65 pieces of coverage including The Telegraph, The Times, Guardian, NME and MOJO.

CONNECT AND CONVENE

  • We hosted our annual Partners’ Circle, uniting all our partners with an incredible session on leadership and resilience by Circle Champion and former Prime Minister of Australia, Julia Gillard.
  • We also brought together our growing network of global changemakers to connect in our emergency briefings, global feminism series and changemaker events.

SUSTAINABLE AND PROGRESSIVE

  • Our Empowerment Fund continues to grow, and SISTERS: Annie Lennox and Friends at The Royal Albert Hall gave us a unique opportunity to engage and secure a whole new audience who share our ambition.
  • We also facilitated emergency grants to support a number of our partners on the frontlines of conflict and crisis, ensuring they have the resources they need, when they need them most.

Extend your solidarity with action

Since 2008, The Circle has brought together global feminists to use their resources, networks and creativity to cultivate long-lasting change in the fight against gender-based violence. Together, we can help create a safer and fairer world for the most marginalised and vulnerable women and girls globally.
