The Circle Announced as Official Charity Partner at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards

Posted on 4th March 2024

The Circle is announced as charity partner at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards in Los Angeles this March.

We are delighted to be the official charity partner of The Green Carpet Fashion Awards (GCFA) in Los Angeles in 6th March 2024.

The highly anticipated event celebrates people and organisations that are crucial to collective transformation in any community. It’s co-chaired by GCFA Founder Livia Firth, actresses Cate Blanchett, Helen Hunt, Julianne Moore and Zendaya, singer, songwriter, activist and founder of The Circle NGO Annie Lennox, Minister of Indigenous People of Brazil Sônia Guajajara, and Ugandan climate justice activist Vanessa Nakate.

Uniting the power of fashion and entertainment for positive transformation, the annual awards show will celebrate people and organisations that offer a new lens on true intersectional transformation while bringing together the next generation of global leaders driving political, social and environmental solutions for a brighter collective future.

The selection of the yearly honorees is evaluated according to six cultural archetypes: The Visionary, The Messenger, The Rebel, The Healer, The Sage, The Futurist. Last year, our founder, Annie Lennox led a special presentation to young female leaders, for their inspiration activism, understanding, and interplay between environmental action, civil rights, equality, global feminism and building a better collective future.

“As a long term activist, global feminist and founder of The Circle NGO, it encourages and inspires me so much to see a new generation of brilliant young women rising up to address solutions to the countless challenges facing women and girls everywhere around the world. I’m hugely grateful to the GCFA for giving them this wonderful platform to shine a light upon their essential and exemplary work. This is what Global Feminism is all about! Sisters – doin’ it for themselves!” said Annie Lennox last year.

We look forward to seeing this year’s honourees and the important work that they do in driving change.
